Beth Hewitt

I worked for many years as a assistant film editor, researcher, and Producer / Director at Granada ITV, primarily working on documentraies and in the Factuals Department. In 2001 I moved across to the BBC's Factual Entertainment department as a producer / director. In 2003 I qualified as a teacher and moved to the National Media Museum in Bradford, to work with young people making fims and producing studio based shows in the National Media Musuem's television studio.

I came back across the Pennines in 2006 to become Media Projects Producer at Urbis in Manchester and from there took up my current position as Senior Lectuer in Media Practice at The University of Salford where I am Programme Leader for the MA in Television Documentary Production. I also co-produce exposures: new talent in moving image festival, which is jointly programmed by Cornerhouse and the University of Salford. Documentaries are my passion and it's my ambition that I will be out there making them again soon!
