Dawn lives in Yorkshire where she grew up in the City of Hull. She has had a varied media career, which started with five years in the world of commercial radio with Emap Plc, before launching her career with a TV and Film School in Yorkshire, where she directed and produced TV, Film and Theatre. Four years later she was head hunted to launch Yorkshire’s first local terrestrial TV channel, and remained there for a further two years as Managing Director. Dawn then went on to be involved with the launch of a second channel, this time a national digital channel, propeller TV. In her final year she successfully launched the propeller channel into a further seven European countries.
Not satisfied with having experienced both in TV & Radio, on and off screen, Dawn also ventured into the literary world when she became a published author in June 2005.
Currently Dawn is the Out of London Director for Pact. Pact is the UK trade association that represents and promotes the commercial interests of independent feature film, television, animation and interactive media companies. Dawn is responsible for policy, lobbying issues and development of the Nations and Regions within the industry. She liaises on a day to day basis with broadcasters, independent producers, government and development agencies.
